More than 30 wartime DC-3s and C-47 Skytrains will join in Duxford, UK to prepare for the largest aerial gathering of Dakotas since the second World War, commemorating 75 years since more than 11,000 aircraft, 150,000 troops stormed the shores of Normandy in one of the most prolific battles in our history. 9,000 plus soldiers fell to their death during D-Day and the months to follow. We RETURN TO NORMANDY to celebrate fallen heroes and the aircraft that served as the backbone to liberating Europe.
FunD Av will join with more than 1,000 students, faculty, staff and donors of the West Michigan Aviation Academy May 15-16 for their annual gala, as well as visiting the academy with one of our influential 'women of STEM.'
Excited to head to Grand Rapids again!
One of the largest aerial formation missions since the second world war, more than 35 C-47, DC-3 aircraft, and 250 plus paratroopers, plan to fill the skies over Normandy France after staging in Duxford, UK for a full reenactment of the D-Day invasions, paying tribute to the 9,000 lives lost over the course of the invasion in summer 1944.
Our team will support the D-Day Squadron and Tunison Foundation at this year's Paris Airshow, as the historic D-Day aircraft continue onto Germany for the 70th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift.
